The National Dorper and White Dorper Show and Sale began earlier this week with the best ewes nationwide kicking off the competition.

The three day event, which began on Tuesday, September 2, was held the Dubbo show-grounds.
Junior Champion White Dorper ewe was won by Andrea van Niekerk, Dell Dorper stud, Moama, NSW.
Ms van Niekerk, originally from South Africa, has been helping her parents with the stud for the past seven years.
On Wednesday, September 3 the final ewes were judged with Bellevue Grazing Company, Millmerran, QLD winning Grand Champion Dorper Ewe.
Grand Champion White Dorper Ewe was won by Burrawang White Dorper stud, Ootha, NSW.
After the dorper and white dorper ewe champions were announced, the rams made their way to the arena.
Ms van Niekerk claimed a hat-trick on Wednesdays show day, when she won class 34 white dorper ram four tooth and over, Senior Champion White Dorper Ram and Supreme White Dorper exhibit, with Dumisa 120441.
Judge Webber Scheun, Beaufort West, South Africa said the ram was 'strong and meaty'.
Mr Adrian Veitch, Kaya Dorper stud, Narrogin, Western Australia won Reserve Senior Champion White Dorper Ram.
"It was a good day. We were very happy with result," Mr Veitch said.
Senior Champion Dorper Ram was won by Global Dorpers stud, Narrabri, NSW.
The sale, held on Friday, September 5 was the third and final day of the event.
Prieska Dorper 120037 from Prieska Dorper stud won the top sale price of $26,000.
Buyers Phile and Trish Palmer have been coming to the event for three years.
Ms Palmer said the show and sale showcases 'good quality and a good selection of rams'.
