A spokesperson for Orana Local Area Command said a youth was arrested after he was allegedly caught driving a stolen car in Caroline Street about 11.15am on Wednesday.
The owner of the vehicle had reported it stolen from a TAFE college car park about an hour earlier.
The youth will be dealt with under the Young Offenders’ Act.
Police are searching for a male intruder who fled over a back fence when he was disturbed by neighbours in the yard of a Twickenham Drive house just before 6pm last Wednesday night.
He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance and wearing a white hooded jumper.
Meanwhile, driving lights were reported stolen from a Ford Territory parked in Alma Street sometime between 11am and 4pm last Wednesday.
Members of the public have been reminded to make sure their homes and vehicles are secured when unattended.
