One of the most popular and prestigious events of the Elvis Festival is the TransTank Miss Priscilla Dinner.
Traditionally held on Thursday of the Festival, the evening features the judging and sashing of the 2014 NSW TrainLink Parkes Elvis Festival Miss Priscilla - the ‘Face of the Festival’.
Also judged on the night are the Picture Perfect Makeup, Elvis Era Freestyle Hair (men and women) and Kissin’ Cousins Film Look-a-Like Open Hair competitions.
A large array of amazing prizes is on offer across all competitions for the winning participants and stylists.
Special guest judges this year include actress Cynthia Pepper (who starred in the movie Kissin’ Cousins with Elvis), Sarah West, Sharon Wilder, and Nicki and Geoff Cassidy.
Held upstairs at the Parkes Service Club in the Starlight Lounge, an evening of top class entertainment is planned featuring Elvis Tribute Artist Ross Mancini and the wonderful Fourcasters Band.
Patrons will enjoy a beautiful two course meal, share in some of Elvis’ birthday cake and be in the draw to win great lucky door prizes and amazing raffles.
All dinner participants are encouraged to dress in the Festival theme to be in the running to win one of some wonderful best dressed prizes on the night.
Also on display will be all of the entries in the ‘Elvis Edible Art’ competition.
This is a first time event for this year, and asks competitors to create a cake topper or plaque with an Elvis or Festival theme.
The creations must be entirely edible.
The winner will be announced at the dinner.
