6.35pm: Red Bull's Paul Dumbrell will start in pole postition for the Bathurst 1000 tomorrow, with Jamie Whincup revealing that his team-mate will drive first.
Whincup said the start would put less pressure on his co-driver.
"I think it is good for Paul to get underway, I find it a a challenge to jump in the car after the race has started so I don't want to put that pressure on Paul at all.
"Me being a regular driver and knowing the car well I can jump in in the second stint so that is the plan at this stage.
"Paul's times are as good as quick as mine so we don't need to concentrate on Paul just doing the minimum amount of laps, he will probably do half the race. We aren't restricted like most combos were at Sandown trying to get the co-driver out of the way as quick as possible."
5.45pm: Red Bull's Jamie Whincup will start the Bathurst 1000 with pole position in Sunday's great race.
Whincup was fastest in Saturday's Top 10 Shootout with a time of 2.07.8825.

4.45pm: John Bowe has taken the round win in the Touring Car Masters with victory in the third and final race this weekend ahead of Jim Richards and Brett Youlden.
It was a completely different podium from the second race, with pole sitter and race two winner Eddie Abelnica stalling on race start and Adam Bressington swamped by Bowe early in the piece.
Bowe took the lap on lap two and never looked back - with a final winning margin of six seconds over fellow veteran Richards.
The horror race for the previous podium was completed in full with Jason Gomersall heading into the sand at Murray's corner mid-race.
4.20pm: Warren Luff put a win to his name this weekend by taking out race two in the Carrera Cup, surviving a late scare when he went wide at The Dipper to keep off Craig Baird and race one winner Nick Percat.
The winning trio put on a masterclass, finishing 12.5 seconds ahead of fourth place over just 10 laps.
Luff got Percat's measure at the race start, winning a drag race side-by-side up Mountain Straight with Baird in tow.
Baird jumped into second when Percat went onto the grass at the foot of the Chase.
Luff almost threw away a great performance, losing a touch of grip into The Dipper on the final lap, but held on well.
Touring Car Masters coming up next before today's big event - the top ten shootout!
3.30pm: Steve Owen goes two from two in the Dunlop Series at Bathurst, taking the win during race two interrupted by several laps of safety car activity.
Aaron Russell and Morgan Haber connected at Hell Corner before the halfway mark in the 14 lap race, bringing Owen back to the field after opening up a solid lead.
Casey Stoner had propelled himself from 9th to 4th place before ending his race when he got too close with the wall at Reid Park.
Minor placings were as race one, with Dale Wood and Jack Perkins on the podium once more.
2.30pm: Kim Jane has taken out the second race in the V8 Utes at Bathurst, taking his lead back from Kris Walton after an ambitious dive at The Chase.
Walton went wide in front of Jane on lap five after making a lunge down the inside, though Jane took his position back on The Cutting the following lap before putting some distance back to the field.
Ryan Hansford completed the minor placings, while Stephen White's fourth puts him in prime position for a round win tomorrow morning
1.45pm: Nick Percat talks about his win in the opening race of the Carrera Cup at the Mount this weekend.
Percat highlights the difference in grip between the Porsche and the Holden he is set to drive in tomorrow's main event.
1.15pm: The Bathurst 1000 has truly become a family event with hundreds of campers enjoying the great race with their children.
Jamie Chester from Melbourne said he was happy for his children to camp at Mount Panorama with him as he knew they could roam around the campsites safely.
"They love coming up here and you know their interest in motor sport isn’t as big as ours but they find new friends and the new connections and they’re happy to come back each year and see them," he said.
"We struggle to get them back for dinner and then we struggle to get them back for bed, they just love it."
It was a similar case for camper Colin Lalor who is camping with his two sons.
"I wouldn't let my boys come up here before they were 10, but now its so family orientated that I think children can come younger; they have more fun than I do. "
"The atmosphere is great, we just really enjoy ourselves," he said.

10am: David Sieders has taken the opening race of the V8 Utes at Mount Panorama from pole position but had to fight for it in the opening laps.
