The charity group held a New Year's Eve ball and auction, raffle and received donations, all of which contributed to the $42,775.70 cheque presented yesterday at the childhood centre.
Upon realising the amount raised, Clare's Angels pioneer Jane Diffey said it was unprecedented.
"No, not even close (to what we thought)," she said.
"We would've been happy at $20,000."
Orana Early Childhood Intervention manager Janelle Burke said it would go a long way.
"We don't know where the money will go yet," she said.
"There'll be a combination of talks with Clare's Angels, the staff and board management to decide on that.
"What the Angels have done as first-timers with the ball is fantastic." The New Year's Eve Angel Ball auction raised about $23,000 of the total, which had a live auction of 33 items and a silent auction. It will be a biennial event, the next held in 2014.
