Late yesterday afternoon they charged a man and a woman in their mid 30s with cultivating a crop of mature-age cannabis worth more than $30,000.
Wellington police and Orana crime command detectives, acting on information provided by a member of the public, raided the property following an investigation and began to search the property. They found the cannabis crop growing in the back yard and the man and woman are assisting police with their enquiries and are expected to face court on a date to be fixed. Police have congratulated the public for acting with them on another key drug operation in the area.
