Davis made it know he wasn't going to run between the wickets any more than he needed to as he hit no less than 14 sixes and four fours that resulted in Colts being all out for 239 in 35 overs.
Craig Moore with 53, Mick Parish (24) and Ben McCarthy (28) added to the total.
It was just as well Davis had his eye in with Colts at one stage 4-33 from 12 overs.
Despite the onslaught the Macquarie bowlers tried hard with Ben Calder taking 3-7 from 5.2 overs, Christian Martin 3-23 from eight and Ray Cusack 2-7. However, one Macquarie bowler who did serve up a treat for Davis and his crew was Blake Jones who finished with 2-62 from just eight overs.
The Macquarie batting was a real mixture.
Dave Murray (17), Mitch Cook (35) and Ray Cusack (62) got quality runs up the order but the middle order failed to fire, however the tail wagged a bit at the end.
Ben Bruce gained the bowling honours for Colts with 4-16 from seven overs in a good all-round display from the bowlers.
