It will be alleged the calls were made to Fire and Rescue NSW between July 31 and December 2, 2012. The calls were reported to police by the Fire and Rescue NSW zone commander and an investigation began.
An 18-year-old man, who is a retained fire fighter with Fire and Rescue NSW, attended Young Police Station on Wednesday afternoon, where he was arrested.
The man, from Young, was subsequently charged with two counts of make false call to an emergency service number and dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
He was granted bail and will appear before the Young Children's Court on February 19 because the alleged offence occurred while he was 17.
