Ruby is the most popular girls name, pushing last year's winner, Chloe back into fourth place.
The top ten boys' names are; William, Oliver, Lucas, Jack, Noah, Ethan, Lachlan, Joshua, Thomas and James.
The girls top ten is; Ruby, Emily, Olivia, Chloe, Charlotte, Mia, Amelia, Isabella, Sophie and Ava.
Gilgandra parents Shiree and Geremy Ryan are the proud parents to two children whose names top both the boys and girls top ten lists for 2012.
William, born on October 24, 2012, is the most popular boy's name this year.
While sister Ruby's, 20-months, has also.
However, in 2011 when Ruby was born, the name Chloe took out the coveted number one place and Ruby came in a close second.
Mother Shiree said, William's name choice was an obvious one.
"He is the fifth generation William in my husband's family. His father and grandfather have William as their middle name but prior to that it was a first name," she said.
"Ruby was a last minute choice, we had Lila picked out to start with but then both Geremy and I decided on Ruby at the last moment, it suits her."
