At next Wednesday's Boxing Day meeting eight lucky patrons will get drawn to own a runner in the $800 to the winner Boxing Day Cup (516m).
The concept is simple. For example, if you draw dog one and it wins, you collect the prize money from the club as if you were the actual owner of the dog.
The same applies for the second and third-placegetters.
According to Dubbo Greyhound Racing Club president Shayne Stiff, the idea is to get people to the track and give them a chance to win on the day.
"We've got TAB status for that day but with everyone in Dubbo for Christmas, we want to get as many people to the track as possible," Stiff said.
"It creates a good atmosphere and we have a jumping castle lined up for the kids to make it a family-friendly day out.
"Someone on the track that day will win $800 just for entering the gate and drawing the right dog so it's not a bad reason to come up for a day at the dogs.
"I'll be bookmaking on the day and will offer another five free $20 betting vouchers for punters to be drawn from the same set of tickets so there will be plenty of chances for people at the track to win."
Fields for the Boxing Day meeting will be released on Wednesday.
