Northern Beaches Council was created in 2016 through the three councils of Manly, Pittwater and Warringah coming together to deliver the highest quality services to the community. Exciting new infrastructure projects and community programs have quickly demonstrated the positive impact the new council is having. Role Purpose The purpose of the Records Officer role is to provide a fast and efficient mail distribution and records processing service to internal and external customers of Council. Key Responsiblites Sort, scan and register incoming (hard-copy and electronic) correspondence into the corporate recordkeeping system, including the identification of relevant documents and assignment of the correct number Electronic document registration and maintenance - including container allocation, tracking, creating links, retrieving previously registered documents and assigning records to the appropriate area of Council and action officer Scan plans and other documents of various sizes Attend to customer enquiries (via phone, email and face to face) in relation to records management Liaise with internal customers about the status of records and correspondence Please refer to the Position Description for more information.
