This iconic organisation who work in the pharmaceutical industry are looking for a QA Manager to join their small, welcoming team. They are well known for the quality of work they deliver and offer a reputable service in the market place.

Your new role
Reporting to the Manager, you as the Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for maintaining quality management systems, ensuring critical requirements of quality assurance are met and ensuring specific policies and procedures are being followed on site. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Undertake and facilitate a range of assurance program requirements and administrative activities that contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory and supports the delivery of assurance program objectives.
  • Communicate, collaborate, report, and undertake, where applicable, activities relating to the laboratory equipment maintenance schedule, calibration, servicing, and repair.
  • Contribute to the preparation of documents such as reports, instructional material, forms, and document reviews.
  • Contribute technical or administrative skills and knowledge in working groups, training opportunities, and cross-section functions, primarily with internal stakeholders and on assurance issues.
  • Apply knowledge of relevant legislative and reporting requirements, quality assurance procedures and best-practice models to ensure strong levels of regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain, test, modify, commission and/or fault find on complex equipment.
  • Enter data and maintain manual and computer-based records with a high level of accuracy and in accordance with laboratory protocols.
  • Undertake quality control auditing, verification, and inspection, including maintaining quality management systems, as required.
  • Contribute to the implementation of systems improvement initiatives, specifically a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Prioritise and manage time to provide an efficient and effective service to meet internal and external client expectations, within a regulatory environment.
  • Work independently or under limited guidance and with a high level of initiative, integrity, and flexibility to support the work practices of the team and the day-to-day operations of the laboratory.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with departmental WH&S, Quality, & Environmental Management System policies, guidelines, and actively report risks and opportunities for improvement in relation to these systems.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Tertiary Qualification in related field.
  • Current C’ Class licence
  • Extensive experience in a quality management role
  • Experience managing system compliance
  • Understanding Quality Control and Quality Assurance
  • Extensive exposure to cGMP/HACCP environment.
  • Thorough experience with administration
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Computer proficiency
