The Opportunity Our Business Management team's purpose is to empower customers to confidently shop the largest range of pet supplies in Australasia. We do this with a pet first approach, leveraging the expertise of our vet staff and grounding ourselves in a customer-led culture. As a Private Label Business Manager, you'll build and grow our private label brands across consumable and non-consumables categories. You will be adept at synthesising customer feedback and market data to ensure our own brands are strongly positioned in a very competitive landscape. You'll lead strategic projects from end to end, including go to market strategies and ongoing growth. Key Responsibilities Think creatively and commercially around gaps and potential private label opportunities across consumables and our non-consumables categories (you'll think about the product themselves, marketing opportunities and brand alignment) A strong focus on product quality and production from contract manufacturer partners for all aspects included but not limited to - raw materials, production, packaging, final products Routinely identify and evaluate new finished good sources of supply, including international sources Lead/participate in cross functional teams/meetings Ability to work with multiple internal groups - Category Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customer Service Partner with vendors and internally to improve our current private label offer (inc. reformulation, packaging, consistency etc) and drive quality in the Supply Chain Understand the marketplace while maintaining a unique perspective for private label including sales, marketing, trends, competition and product offerings Identify and communicate all sales, margin, and marketing opportunities for Private label Monitor private label performance based on sales, margin and sell-through Our Ideal Candidate Highly motivated, action-oriented individual who is ready to take on tangible P&L responsibility and make independent decisions Previous experience managing, coaching and developing a team of people Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be hands on to achieve outcomes Demonstrated ability to work closely with others, both internally (within the Business Management Team and cross-functionally) as well as externally with supplier partners Strong commercial acumen with exceptional excel expertise and communication skills Previous Experience Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in identifying and improving profitability drivers Building and developing products from concept through to go to market (Internationally sourced products in the food/agri category would be ideal!)
