A shared passion for our people.
Our people can be proud that, as a leading international agri-business, we provide an increasingly important service across the food and beverage supply chain.
About our team
GrainCorp connects more than 10,000 grain growers with local and international customers via Australia’s largest silo network, with a storage capacity of over 20 million tonnes, seven bulk port elevators and two specialty port terminals. Innovation, integration and partnership are the foundations on which we are growing into our second century with customers at the heart of all that we do.
Protecting the quality of grain stored across GrainCorp’s expansive network of country and port facilities is a critical responsibility, tasked to our expert and dedicated regional pest control teams.
About the role
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Pest Control Assistant to join the Northern NSW Grain Protection team, based centrally from either our Premer or Coonabarabran sites.
You’ll report to the Grain Protection Supervisor and travel to sites in the region supporting our Pest Control Officers to carry out a wide range of pest control and fumigation procedures that ensure our grain is maintained and moved free of insect infestation.
You’ll also undertake activities related to general hygiene and cleanliness of our facilities, to a high standard.
About your experience
This position is a great starting point and learning platform in a rewarding technical trade. Applicants with experience in general labouring work, trades and services, building and construction or transport and logistics would be suited to this work, though we are open-minded to a range of experiences. You ideally have an unrestricted driver’s licence, though a provisional licence is okay.
The willingness to travel and be away from home for short periods at a time is essential.
In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical.
Do you share our passion for contributing to the success of a diverse, international team?
At GrainCorp, we value and respect the different perspectives and experiences our people bring to work each day. We aim to increase the diversity of our workforce – leading to a range of different thinking, perspectives and ideas that create the innovation we need to drive better business results. We aim to have a work environment where everyone feels included and everyone can realise their full potential.
