Junior Mine Accountant

They require a Junior Accountant to join their site-based finance team in an entry level role.

Your new role
Your new role as Junior Mine Accountant will operate within a small finance team and report directly to the Senior Mine Accountant and support the transactional accounting functions. Your day to day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with end of month processing
• General ledger reconciliations
• Processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Preparation of business activity statements
• Monthly financial estimates and weekly cash flow reporting and analysis
• Assisting with preparation of the annual budget
• Adhoc reporting as required

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position you will ideally be a tertiary qualified accountant and demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Experience in a commercial or public practice accounting role
• Sound excel skills
• Ability to relocate and live on site
• Experience with large ERP software, preferred but not essential
• CA/ CPA qualifications or ambitions to complete
