Indianna a standout at national tournament

INDIANNA Asimus represented NSW Football in Canberra at the National Championships and her team went through unbeaten.

But Indianna’s training and preparation had a setback, with a pulled hamstring leaving her unable to fully train for three weeks.

A sincere thank you to Donna Von Harten from Back to Back massage for helping with her recovery, and the support of the Orana Spurs club under-18s, premier league, Stephen Tongue and Robert Hughes.

The St John’s College Dubbo schoolgirl was extremely happy with her tournament performance, striking two goals and having a foot in half of the goals scored for her team.

Indianna has taken confidence in knowing that out of the whole of Australia, only four girls scored more goals then her throughout the tournament.

Indianna is prepared to train her heart out for next year’s nationals knowing the high standard of players she competed against this year.

Indianna draws inspiration from Dubbo twins Ashleigh and Nicole Sykes and felt honoured that she got to talk to them at the Nationals and that they watched some of her games.
