After the conclusion of the round matches late yesterday afternoon, the seven sectional winners and top runner-up have been decided and first bowls will be rolled at 9am.
Dubbo Railway’s Henry Gordon and Paul McKenzie finished on top of section three and will come up against 2008 Hub of the West champion Lindsay Wilding (Munmorah) and his partner Peter Whitfield (The Entrance), who scraped through the tightest group (Section Four) with 3 ½ wins out of a possible five.
West Dubbo’s Matt McIntyre and John Ferguson have been listed down to play Eagle Hawk’s Frank Tonn and Terry Gilmore.
Meanwhile West Dubbo’s Richard Clarke is joined by former West Dubbo bowler and current Warriors team-mate Adam Lee (Nyngan) against Kim Greentree (Kootingal) and Nathan Wise (South Tamworth).
The Tamworth duo are one of just two pairs to win every round match. Tim Wark and Dean Jenner from Coonabarabran will be looking to continue their unbeaten run against wildcard team and last year’s runners up Dennis Dalton and Wayne Lambourne from Maitland City.
The semi-finals will be played this afternoon and the grand final to be decided tomorrow with $3400 to go to the overall winners.
The rest of the field will play off in the consolation Coca-Cola Dash For Cash event today for a total prizepool of $6200.
