Xanthe wowed the audience as her fingers raced up and down the keyboard with 'Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum' by Sonny Chua.
Sarah Thorne was placed second with Xanthe's 13-year-old sister, Danielle, third. Encouragement certificates were awarded to Olivia Smith, Kate Wright and Corey Sutton.
Xanthe is a 15-year-old Year 10 student at Dubbo Christian School. She enjoys making music, speech and drama, Irish dancing and horse riding.
There was tough competition in the modern piano open section. David Crosby was placed first with Felicity Smith second and Michael Evans third. Encouragement certificates were presented to Lachlan Harris, Harold Grant and Jacob Williams.
