Dubbo cricket coaches Darren Gardiner and Darren Holland will be looking for good results when their side tackles the Mitchell under-13 carnival at Orange starting today. Tom Carruthers will captain Dubbo that has been drawn in Pool 1 against teams from Penrith, Kinross Wollaroi School and Shoalhaven while Pool B will be made up of South Coast, ACT, Mitchell and Wagga Wagga. The Dubbo side comprises Daniel Holland, Tom Carruthers, Mason Williams, Jacob Harris, Jakke Gardiner, Andrew Page, Jack Wells, Sami Suckling, Rick Wilton, Zeke Spradbrow, Matt Saul and Brad Mills. The four-day Mitchell carnival is acknowledged as one of the best during the school holidays and will see pool games from today until Wednesday and the finals on Thursday. Dubbo starts its campaign today against Penrith, then will be against Shoalhaven tomorrow and finally Kinross on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Mitchell Cricket Council's promotion of junior cricket continues next week with an under-15 carnival. Dubbo will again be represented with coaches Andrew Peacock and Mark McDonald having put together a strong squad. Dubbo under-15s: Jordan Peacock, Jacob Barnes (c), Chris Russo, Jacob Bruce, Rob Gudgeon, Mitchell Stubbs, James Leonard, Blayne McGee, Matt Fisher, Gavin Barlow, Tom McDonald and Jordan Coggan. Dubbo will play in the same pool as Kinross, ACT and Shoalhaven from Monday January 9 to the Thursday.
