The doting grandfather of 14 has been spotted around the traps with his singing escapades at the Amaroo and RSL Club during the week and the 73-year-old isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
Mr Cruzado will be in the spotlight once again with his biography The Song of Pete Cruzado released on Monday.
Hot off the press, the book landed in Dubbo yesterday two weeks before it was due with author, daughter and Daily Liberal journalist Patricia Cruzado thrilled by the polished second edition.
"I initially planned it for their 41st wedding anniversary in June but it didn't happen. So when it suddenly turned up yesterday, I couldn't believe my parents are here to see it," Ms Cruzado said.
With 55 years of singing experience under his belt, Mr Cruzado has performed at elite night clubs in Hong Kong, Las Vegas, Manila and Australia.
It was during the 1956 Melbourne Olympics that Mr Cruzado gained his first big break and kicked off an illustrious career.
"It was during the White Australia policy but I was accepted even though I was an Asian," he said.
He's worked with quite a few actors and personalities, and many others have crossed his path including Judy Garland, Kirk Douglas, Paul Newman, Bert Newton, Barry Crocker and Frank Sinatra.
"It was by listening to Frank Sinatra and Andy Russell's records that I learnt how to sing," he said.
From poverty to success, World War II history and dealing with mental illness are among the topics covered in this singer's tale with a difference.
Ms Cruzado said there's one very important message for anyone interested in preserving their family history.
"Everyone has a story to tell; tell it to your children and grandchildren before it is lost forever," she said.
The Song of Pete Cruzado: Poverty does not lock the door of opportunity will be available in book stores in Dubbo, Orange, Penrith and Ballarat on Monday.
But you can probably catch Mr Cruzado singing a crooner's tune at the Amaroo tonight.
