That was the reaction of 22-year-old Amanda Eslick to the news that she was Dubbo's inaugural Bachelorette of the Year.
The beauty therapist, who arrived in town only three months ago, put her clinching of the crown down to two things: a bubbly, outgoing personality and a vast extended family.
"They're Italians, so there's a lot of them," she laughed.
Competing against seven other "lovely" eligible ladies, Ms Eslick was catapulted to single girl stardom by popular vote but was nominated for the challenge by fellow Outer Edge Hair Studio employee Karen Schmidt.
The public were asked to SMS or submit an entry form with their pick of Dubbo's free and female elite.
The result was announced at a slick black-tie ball at the Macquarie Inn on Saturday night.
The competition was a fundraiser for Kidney Health Australia and the gals displayed their benevolent streaks by jointly raising nearly $3000 for the cause.
Organiser Andrew Gay said the event was a roaring success, which would hopefully be repeated next year, and thanked everybody for their support.
As for the new top bachelorette's take on her hometown's talent in the masculine stakes: "They're friendly and down to earth but often not available," she said.
