Connor, 9, is the son of former Macquarie back Mark 'Wacky' Watson and wife Jodie who now live at Avoca Beach on the Central Coast.
At the weekend Connor was seen on the front page of the Sunday Telegraph promoting the paper's new mini league game, put together to promote the 2005 State of Origin series, game two of which is to be contested tonight.
Seeing Connor's face in the media is nothing new, according to his proud grandparents in Dubbo - Beryl and Winston Faber and Di and Kevin Watson.
"You wouldn't believe what he is involved in, and it all started when he went on the Footy Show in a tackling competition," Winston said.
"His personality and good looks obviously made an impact on someone in marketing and promotion and since then he's been involved in a lot of different things, around the Central Coast and in Sydney.
"This mini league game is the latest promotion that rose to prominence and his face has been on all the commercial television stations. But he is also involved in sundry other things as well as some modeling and acting.
"Each Friday morning on the local FM radio station he goes on and talks to the announcer about the weekend football coming up in the NRL and gives his tips. There he's known as the Terrigal Terrior.
"It's amazing the people who know him now on the coast and recently we were in a supermarket over there and a lady came up and said ‘I know your face, aren't you Connor Watson?' - and then there are the others who ask for his autograph.
"Needless to say we grandparents here in Dubbo are pretty proud of him and what he's been able to do with the full support of his mum and dad and younger brother Fletcher."
Of course the other good aspect of Connor's involvement in the media and the same is that he gets paid for what he's doing.
That point is certainly a welcome comfort to Mark and Jodie with Mark still unable to work after falling off a building while on the job and suffering serious injuries some time back.
Time will mend those wounds and the man who played a major role for Dubbo Macquarie over a number of years on the football field and it is hoped he will be back to his old self.
As for Connor, keep your eye on the television and the newspapers.
