Following one of the most successful years in Western Division's history when the senior side won the Country Championships and the
under-18s were runners-up, there was little change on the committee or the coaching staff for 2005.
Dubbo's Tom Nelson was returned as secretary and treasurer while Bathurst's Paul Rossiter was returned as president after a close vote.
Rossiter and Colley were tied on three votes each for the presidency when Rossiter got the nod after names were drawn from the hat.
Minutes later Colley was awarded life membership to the division adding to his life memberships with the Parkes Spacemen and Group 11.
Bathurst's Dave Scott will again coach the Western Division senior side after guiding them to the final against Monaro.
Dubbo Macquarie's Peter Boon and Darren Jackson were joined by Dubbo CYMS' captain-coach Tim Ryan in that side and will press for selection again next year.
The team's managers will be Parkes' Derek Hoe and Royce George (Bathurst) while the trainers will be Macquarie's Mark Murphy and Bathurst's Kevin Franklin.
Parkes' Phil Bishop was again appointed coach of the under-18s after they were beaten 34-32 in the Country Championship final against Illawarra.
The juniors' managers will be Kevin Grimshaw (Bathurst) and Peter McDonald (Cowra).
The trainers will be Michael Moriarty (Cowra), Jeff Charlton (Parkes) and Craig Pugsley (Wallerawang).
The trial game between Group 10 and Group 11 will be at Dubbo on April 23 with the under-18s kicking off at 2pm.
Group 10 have won most of the trials in recent years in the senior game, but Group 11 have closed the gap.
The match would be an ideal unveiling of rugby league at what will be a recently finished upgrade of Apex Oval.
Last year Group 11 were coached by Dean Pay who will join his panel of selectors soon to name a group side to play Newtown's Premier League outfit inn February at Parkes.
That match will be a curtain-raiser to the NRL pre-season game between Sydney Roosters and Parramatta Eels.
