In a novel approach, the girls have been away from the Nita McGrath courts and instead have joined their coaches for pool sessions at the Dubbo Aquatic Centre.
According to association president, Nita McGrath, the training concept has been well received.
"It has been very hot and the different training methods have been welcomed by the players," she said.
The netball season is slowly approaching and as well as representative junior team training, the association is delighted to have an open team entered for State this season.
"We are pleased to have an open squad training for the State championships again," McGrath said.
"It is at least six years since we had a team in this division so it is a step forward and a natural progression for the juniors who are coming through."
Most Dubbo clubs have organised registration days for the coming weeks so that teams can be finalised in the various divisions.
RSL's registration day is on this Saturday February 25 as well as March 6 and 13.
RSL officials will be at the RSL Youth Club hall in Carrington Avenue from 10.30am until 12.30pm on all three days.
Saints will register players on Friday March 5 at St John's College in Sheraton Road from 4.30pm.
The third registration that comes to notice is Apollo, with a day on Sunday March 7 at Nita McGrath courts between 10am and 12pm.
The Dubbo association will also continue to foster the development of its coaches with Level O and Level 1 clinics scheduled for next month.
The Level O clinic is on Saturday March 6 and Level 1 on March 13 and 14.
Those interested should contact Rowena on 6884 2002.
The Dubbo netball season for juniors and seniors starts on May 1 and team nomination forms are available from the staff at Brian Barnes Sportspower.
