The interclub was an invaluable opportunity for girls to make friendships and connections with other physie girls from nearby clubs.

The event has become a regular feature of the physical culture calendar and provides an excellent prelude to the upcoming club and zone championships.

The club was privileged to have Margaret Collins and Fiona Jurd as this year's judges.

Their expertise and experience in this sport is well known.

Fiona, sometimes referred to as the 'golden girl of physie' has been a National Champion Girl on nine occasions. Her display performance was a highlight of the day's activities.

The open senior syllabus, as demonstrated by Fiona, is quite exacting and requires considerable strength and flexibility.

Fiona and Margaret are registered members of the Randwick Physical Culture club in Sydney, currently ranked as a championship grade club.

The judges were generous in their assistance to the participants offering plenty of excellent tips and encouragement.

They made themselves available after the completion of the day's program to provide ideas to the many interested girls keen to improve various aspects of their performance and presentation.

The first awards of the day went to Savannah Thomas, Luisa Goodman, Kelsey Trenerry and Amelia Scullard in the 3-4 year age group.

Each girl received a beautiful trophy depicting a shining star and a certificate of merit.

Their work to the songs Shake Your Sillies Out and Dingle Dangle Scarecrow drew huge applause from the crowd.

11yrs Rebecca Walker 1st, Lexi Cole 3rd, Jessica Walker 4th, Casey Giddings 5th; 12yrs Megan Gleeson 4th, Kaitlyn Neill 5th, Amanda Rockell 6th; 13yrs Elyce Poga 1st, Eryn Fraser 2nd.

14yrs Nicole Murphy 1st, Laura Steel 2nd, Allison Neill 3rd, Jade Rogers 5th; 15yrs Cherise Johnson 1st, Natasha Kelly 4th.

First year senior Eloise Fraser 2nd, Leandra Kirby 5th, Amy McKay 6th; 2nd Year Senior Tracey Johnson 1st; Novice Open Jackie Hunt 1st; Beginner Lady Michelle Lodding 1st, Dee Mackay 2nd; 1st Year Lady Colleen Iwikau 1st.

The visiting clubs expressed a commitment to accept future invitations to a Dubbo RSL interclub and Mudgee issued an invitation in return to their 2004 event.

Consensus was given to the idea that three and four-year-olds from visiting clubs could take the floor together at future competitions with prior learning of a common action song.

The lunch hour gave the visiting associates an opportunity to network and share ideas with each other.

Promotion of the sport and the enforcement of new rules, particularly in the junior categories was discussed with members of the Dubbo RSL Physical Culture Club committee.
