The wet windy weather which greeted the Rotary Safari Zoo Fun Run and Walk on Sunday did not deter Dubbo Runners Club.

Despite the inclement weather, runners turned up to try to beat their previous times and gain valuable double club points for the run.
Female competitors from Dubbo Runners Club performed exceptionally well, Veronica Fardell was the fastest female in a time of 32 minutes 15 seconds which was 2.15 faster than her time last year.
Rebecca May trimmed 3.10 off last year’s time, while Lisa Tratt was the third female home, taking 45s from her 2000 time.
Kerry Mitchell was the fourth woman home and she took about a minute off her time from last year.
The first club member across the line was Clint Meyers in a time of 28.10 (personal best).

The ‘No Watch’ run was a popular event last Friday night and again runners finished within seconds of there predicted times.
Brad Woods was overall winner when he came within one second of his predicted time, running the distance in 10:21.

Dubbo Runners Club committee has developed a new calendar for the rest of the year.
If anyone would like one, they can see the time keeper at club events.
A mystery relay is to be organised by Craig May this Friday. members are advised to arrive early to put their name in and find out who their partner will be.
Sunday’s run is the tough reverse basher, starting at Beni Forest at 8am sharp.
The runners club will be competinging in Bathurst on Sunday September 16 at the Edgell Jog fun run).
