Better still, money raised at the 2019 Dubbo Vinnies Sleepout and Community Dinner on June 22 will go towards helping people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
In the year to April, the St Vincent de Paul Society in Dubbo gave a hand up to 1300 people at a cost of $100,000, with "$70,000 of that helping families with food".
The fundraising goal for the community event in the St Brigid's Parish Hall is $10,000 with the public able to make donations online for the first time.

More than 100 people are expected to turn out to the dinner cooked by volunteers and costing $10 a head.
They will bid for donated gift vouchers and tuck into "winter-warming" dishes including beef, chicken and vegetable casseroles.
Those who stay on will wake to a free breakfast and pop-up coffee shop set to attract a crowd after Sunday morning mass at St Brigid's Church.
Winter woollies, a sleeping bag, pillow, blanket and water bottle are the necessary accessories for sleepout participants who are known to talk until midnight.
To make a donation or register for the sleepout go to www.communitysleepout.org.au/dubbo.
People planning to attend the 7pm dinner can pay on the night but should send an email to dandcsullivan@bigpond.com.
