Roof repairs have been done on the Dubbo RSL Aquatic and Health Club facility and extra works are taking place before the facility is filled with water again, the club reports.
The indoor pool was closed in mid-February 2018 amid safety concerns about its roof.
Structural engineers were called in to assess the roof and make recommendations.
RSL club general manager Gus Lico issued a public apology in July for the delay in reopening of the pool.
By autumn this year, the end of the repair work appeared to be in sight.
The health club shared an update to social media last month, with a video tour of the facility with its "beautiful and new" roof.
This week Mr Lico said they were continuing with extra works in the maintenance of the pool while the water was out and they had the opportunity to do so.
There was painting still occurring, he said.
It was anticipated the end of May would mark completion of the works, and then water refill, testing for quality and heating would take place, he said.
"All going well" they were looking at an opening about June 10, but it was not yet definite, he said.
