Dubbo's Clinton Larkings will put his talents to the test when he competes in the upcoming WorldSkills International Championship.

The event will be held in Kazan, Russia.
WorldSkills Australia has selected a team of 40 people, including 15 competitors and 25 experts and officials.
The competitors, known as the Skilleroos, will compete against the best trainees and apprentices from 60 countries in the hope of becoming World Champions in their chosen trade or skill area.

Mr Larkings, who works for Luke Cross Engineering and Rigging, won a gold medal in turning ar the 2018 WorldSkills Australia National Championships to secure his place in the Skilleroos.
"To compete against the world's best wold be a dream come true," Mr Larkings said.
"Because of my training I have become a better tradesman, learning a wide range of new skills and techniques."
The tradie said the highlight of the experience for him had been a trip to China.
"It was eye-opening as I have never travelled before and it was amazing to see how a different culture learns the same trade," Mr Larkings said.
WorldSkills Australia CEO Brett Judd congratulated the Skilleroos on being selected to represent Australia.
"I applaud their determination and congratulate them on their selection. But their success would not have been possible without the dedication and support of their expert trainers and mentors, many of whom volunteer their time and experience to work with the Skillaroos," he said.
"The WorldSkills experts have been selected because they represent the best of their industry or skill category. They are also passionate about helping develop their industry and young competitors."
The 45th WorldSkills International Championship will bring together more than 1600 young people aged between 19 and 22-years-old. Australia is ranked 10th out of the 60 competing teams.
It will be held in Russia from August 22 to 27 in front of more than 250,000 spectators.
The Skilleroos team is comprised of a wide range of trades including cloud computing, electrical installations, plumbing and heating, and graphic design technology.
