“We’re lucky in our region to have Camilla Kenny nominated in the Harvey Norman Young Woman of the Year category,” he said.
“I certainly think it is an award she deserves based on the work she does with mental health.”
Ms Kenny, who works within the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program covering Western NSW, strives to increase awareness of mental well-being in rural areas and encourages help-seeking and stigma- reduction activities.

She is a member of the Dubbo Show Society and vice president of the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Next Generation Committee, which supports the development of young women in rural communities.
Ms Kenny is among 28 finalists in five categories of the awards. Winners will be announced on March 7.
The public will choose the winners with online voting conducted up until February 15.
