Andrew McDonald Commercial Dubbo has confirmed the sale of function centre Rhino Lodge in Camp Road to the club.
Club president John Millar made the highest bid of $1.8 million for the property before it was passed in at auction on May 24.
As the losing bidder, he had the right to negotiate for Rhino Lodge before all others.

On Friday Andrew McDonald Commercial Dubbo’s director, Andrew McDonald, said contracts had been exchanged late last week with settlement expected in late August.
He said he did not have permission to reveal the sale price, but told the Daily Liberal that the club had paid “more than the property was passed in for”.
Mr McDonald said he assumed the club would reopen Rhino Lodge as a function centre with accommodation.
“But that will be a matter for the buyer as it makes further plans and comes into possession of the property,” he said.

Mr McDonald said the club was “quite a commercial enterprise these days and obviously saw an opportunity”. “It’s a large organisation that’s going to have the capacity and the resources, financial and staff resources, to be able to make it work,” he said. “It has got experience in the field.”
The property includes a four-bedroom and three-bathroom residence, night manager’s residence, two function centres, two bars, two kitchens and 14 luxury safari tents that can be expanded to 31.
Dubbo RSL Memorial Club general manager Gus Lico is expected to comment on the purchase next week.
