Taronga Western Plains Zoo will host Australia’s Biggest ‘High’ Tea on Sunday, April 8. The fundraising event will include food, tea and sparkling wine.
Cancer Council NSW Western Region’s Brianna Carracher said unfortunately everyone knew someone who had been touched by cancer.
“In the Western NSW region alone, it is predicted that 1864 people will be diagnosed with cancer in a single year, with 632 deaths expected,” she said.
“Every Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea helps us beat cancer, whether it’s at home, in the office, in the local community or at school. In Dubbo particularly, money raised from teas across the region helps us run programs such as SunSmart and Eat It To Beat It in our local schools.”
About 600 people in Western NSW host a morning tea for Cancer Council every year.
Tickets for the Biggest High Tea can be purchased from 123tix.com.au.
