Twelve months ago Graham Goodman lost his house, farm sheds, equipment, fences and livestock while he was fighting the Sir Ivan bush fire.
ABC Sheds, Shearing Supplies and Shearing Shed Solutions recently combined forces to help Mr Goodman, donating three new Heiniger Evo machines for the family’s new shed.
“We’re not used to being the ones on the receiving end of such kindness and generosity, though it’s something we had to get used to as so many people and organisations have been so generous and supportive of us and the whole community,” Mr Goodman said.
“We really appreciate everything that has been done for us. After the fire it was hard to see a way forward, though with all the kindness and generosity we have received we find the strength we need to carry on.”
The Sir Ivan bush fire destroyed 35 homes in Uarbry and the surrounding areas.
