The Australian Red Cross Dubbo has been encouraging businesses and community groups to help them fund Automated External Defibrillators through the busiest locations in the city. The AEDs are worth $3300 each.
Two new units have been purchased by the Macquarie Lions Club and Forty Winks.
First aid trainer George Chapman said there were now seven units to be spread across Dubbo. It was a great achievement, he said, but he hoped to see units in all high traffic areas including Blueridge Business Park.
The Rotary Club of Dubbo Macquarie has launched an appeal towards the campaign. Donations can be made at the Regional Australia Bank. Direct deposits can also be made to BSB number 932000 and account number 100380939.
