Mark Winterbottom could have been forgiven for not knowing where he was on Thursday as he attended a meet-and-greet with fans in Dubbo.

The V8 Supercar star had been in Brazil just two days prior, having competed in the first round of the Stock Car Brasil Championship.
A week prior to that he was in Adelaide for the Clipsal 500, and this time next week he will be in Melbourne to compete during Grand Prix week.
The man they call ‘Frosty’ was in town as the special guest at the opening of the new Bottle-o in West Dubbo.
As dozens on fans lined up for an autograph and photo, and Tickford Ford driver he was pleased to see so many fans turn out.
“It’s actually helping me get over the jetlag,” the 2013 Bathurst 1000 winner joked.
“I’m wanting toast for dinner and parmagiana for breakfast but being busy helps.
“Things have been so busy but it’s good. I’m driving cars and doing what I love for a living, and coming to events like this gives me a chance to speak with fans who love the sport as well.
“The schedule is tight, and we struggled a bit to find the date for this, but to be able to come to the fans rather than have them travel all the time is great and the people are lovely.
“Usually the furthest west we go is Bathurst as far as racing goes, and we might fly over Dubbo on the way to other events, so to be able to bring something to the fans here is great.”
Winterbottom is no stranger to Dubbo, having raced at Lincoln Country Raceway during his go-karting days.
These days he’s one of the biggest stars in V8 racing, and he is keen to improve on his first round effort in Adelaide.
Currently, the 2015 champion sits in eighth spot on the drivers championship, but he is positive 2018 will be a good year.
“In Adelaide we were actually the fourth quickest vehicle behind the Red Bulls and Scott McLaughlan but little things went against us over the weekend,” he said.
“We had a pit penalty on the Sunday which cost us, but the signs were largely positive so hopefully we can improve in Melbourne.
“I think we have a better car this year than we did last year, so I don’t think we will be too far off the pace.”
