Spirits soared as young people with disabilities overcame all obstacles to reach the summit of Mount Kosciuszko on Saturday.
Among them were two determined achievers from Dubbo, who left their footprints on Australia’s highest peak.
The look on 11-year-old Isaac Minney’s face as he completed this year’s Krazy Kosci Klimb was unforgettable to his supporters.
His mother, Anna Minney, said it was a beautiful day to see all the young participants overcoming the hurdles life had given them.
“It was such an emotional, a celebration of human determination and spirit,” she said.
“It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Mrs Minney said it was wonderful to have two participants from Dubbo.

When Josh from Dubbo ran across the finish line, it was “stunning”.
“I was a blubbering mess,” she said.
Another young girl had trained in secret for 18 months with her therapist to be able to do a cartwheel.
When she did it, her family was blown away.
“It was just beautiful,” Mrs Minney said.
Each team had costumes for the event, a fundraiser for the Accessible Gym and Sports Program at Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
Isaac’s family team, including his mum, dad Michael, uncles Pete and Steve and cousin Eliza, were dressed as Mr Men or Little Miss characters.
“Isaac was Mr Happy because he’s happy and loves life,” Mrs Minney said.

Isaac walked as much of the way as he could, as well using his jogging pram.
Then for the last 100 metres and in his bright-coloured costume he stepped towards the summit, applauded at the top.
“Even the look on his face, he obviously understood, and I think parkrun has helped him understand,” Mrs Minney said.
Participants in this year’s Krazy Kosci Klimb, the fifth annual event, have together raised more than $266,000.
