In what was the Western Combined High Schools final, Dubbo beat Bathurst by six wickets after bowling the hosts out for 155.
The win sets up a clash with Wagga High School, the Riverina champions, with that match to be played in Dubbo within the next two weeks.
Bowling first on Wednesday, the Dubbo attack did a fine job in keeping pressure on the Bathurst lineup.
The hosts were just 1-21 after the first 10 overs, Sam Bass making the breakthrough, and then the hosts were in real trouble when they slumped to 3-31.
Star batsmen and Western Zone colts player Nic Broes then dug in and got his side out of trouble but when he was trapped in front by Thomas Nelson for 55 his side was in trouble.
Mitchell Taylor made 33 but there was few other contributions and Bathurst was dismissed for 155 in the last of its 40 overs.
Koda Sissian did a fine job in the middle overs for Dubbo and took 3/37 while Mitch Rosenbaum (2/12) also did a fine job and Will Grant (1/18 from eight) was a real standout with the new ball.
In the run chase, Dubbo College lost Jesse Spang (2) and Connor Watts (14) early on but Cal Giffin (26) and Nelson then built a partnership.
Nelson went on to make a fine 68 not out and guide his side to victory while Brock Larance came in late and hit 40 not out to help Dubbo reach the target in the 28th over.
