The Keeping pair, originally trained locally by Charmaine Roberts and still owned by Dubbo Greyhound Racing Club president Shayne Stiff, won through last week’s heats and will jump from boxes seven and eight respectively in the final.
Lochinvar Hugo, scratched due to injury, has only finished outside the top two once in his 36-start career.
There is still plenty of talent on show, though, with Robert Britton’s superstar Fanta Bale to go from box one while Ebby Ripper has finished in the top three 42 times from 63 starts.
Fanta Bale, along with legends Fernando Bale and Dyna Double One, is one of just three greyhounds to earn more than $1 million in prizemoney.
The Summer Plate jumps at 9.10pm.
