Rugby Blue’s Naden ripped through the RSL-Colts White lineup on his way to taking 5/15 from 5.2 overs and he then belted 89 not as his side won by seven wickets.
Naden came on first change with the ball but knocked over three of Colts’ top four before helping roll the men in red inside 31 overs.
Jack Wallbridge (32) added some respectability but the total of 124 proved nowhere near enough as Naden hit an incredible 16 fours and three sixes.
Newtown Black’s batsmen fired and then an amazing haul from Scott Barber saw Newtown Black smash CYMS Green.
Barber took a brilliant 7/36 as CYMS Green was rolled for 143 in reply to Newtown Black’s 5/256.
Earlier, Brett Wrigley (46), Graeme Allen (42), Kevin Newbold (37 not out), Andrew Waldren (36) and Graham Baker (35) got going while Beau McIntosh (2/26) was the best CYMS bowler.
Cougars captain Brayden McGhee made 72 in the chase but there was little else as Barber ran riot and recorded some of the best figures seen in the competition in years.
A fine century to Shawn Townsend almost led CYMS White to a stunning win but it wasn’t enough against Newtown Gold.
Townsend made 102 but received little support as his side attempted to chase down Newtown Gold’s total of 4/270.
Josh Battishall (91) and Dylan Hamilton (69 not out) had earlier starred for the Tigers while Shaun Swan (54) also helped pile on the runs.
Townsend made the chase exciting but Chris Lenord (2/22) helped keep things tight as his side scored victory.
Greg Taylor carried his bat and made 74 not out in South Dubbo’s 98-run win over Macquarie Blue.
Taylor had support from Jeff Shanks (44) and John Byrne (35) while Ben Walker was the most successful Blues bowler.
Walker capped off a solid all-round game by making 34 in the chase but Scott and Connor Dwarte took three wickets each to help Souths win.
Chris Newbold’s hard-hitting 74 highlighted Newtown White’s succesful chase against Macquarie White.
Macquarie White made 174, Matt Taylor’s 48 the best score, with Ben Peacock (2/18) the best Tigers bowler.
Newbold belted the attack early to set up the win and despite Luke Patis taking four wickets the Tigers won a tight one by two wickets.
RSL-Colts Red moved further clear at the top after playing out a thriller with Rugby Red at Lady Cutler 1.
On Danny Bower Cup day, Rugby Red was restricted to 9/160 from its 40 overs with Garry Goodman’s 56 the standout effort.
Muhammed Salman claimed 3/18 for Colts, who were in some trouble in the chase at 4/68.
But Salman made 23 and then the final pair of Mike Coward (19 not out) and Brandon Ashby (10 not out) produced a classic 10th wicket partnership to get their side home.
It was one of the matches of the season and Rugby’s best with the ball were Brett Paul (3/26) and Goodman (3/34).
