As the tennis ramps up around Australia, the Paramount Tennis Club in Dubbo is gearing up for another cracking year, with its summer competitions to commence in the first week of February.

All current members and players, along with those interested in returning to the sport or giving it a go for the first time, are invited to register their interest in the summer competitions which will again be run over three grades.
As in the past, A Grade will be played on Monday night, B Grade on Wednesday night and C Grade on Thursday night.
It is a great time of year for tennis.

The competitions will be played in doubles format and men and women play together with the grading system ensuring players of similar abilities line up against each other.
People interested in playing in the summer competitions are encouraged to get their names in by Friday, 19 January.
This can be done via the noticeboard in the clubhouse, emailing paramounttennis@live.com.au or contacting committee member Charlie Whiteley on 0417 026 164.
Paramount Tennis Club President, Paul Handsaker is looking forward to the competitions getting back underway.
“It is a great time of year for tennis with all the best players in the world currently in Australia which makes you feel like getting out on court,” Handsaker said.
“Our night competitions are a great way for all players whether they be top level players or those looking for a casual and friendly hit to play week in week out.
“I encourage everyone to get their names in as we’ll be picking teams and doing the draws for the competition in the coming week or so.”
The club’s summer competitions will start from Monday, February 5 and run for 10 weeks.
