Dubbo-born singer-songwriter Clinton Hoy, 39, has claimed the honour with his song ‘Pieces of different puzzles’ and will play on the fanzone stage at the 2018 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Mr Hoy was thrilled.
“I am honoured, and I appreciate that a platform like this exists for regional artists, especially with its focus on original songs,” Mr Hoy said.
Company founder Al Buchan said the contest had a big social media following.
“We had the biggest response on Facebook this year with over 16,000 views on our voting post and the announcement post now going viral,” Mr Buchan said.
“Thanks to all our judges and the fans and friends on Facebook, and to all the entrants.”
