The baton for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games will reach Dubbo and Wellington on January 30.
It will be carried by: Bella Tipping, Ian Burns, Joan Rheinberger, Brett Robinson, Ernie Sluiter, Brian Tink, Bonnie Tratt and Hugh Treloar, Annette McMillan, Katrina Morrow, Suzanne Nuttall, Daniel Andersen, Tanya Andersen, Colin Harper, Pat Lummis (Gilgandra), Sandy McGrath (Gilgandra), Brian Palmer (Geurie) and Benjamin Austin (Wellington).
The exact route of the baton in Dubbo is not yet known, however each person will carry it for about 200 metres.
After leaving Dubbo the relay will continue in Coonabarabran, Gunnedah and Tamworth on January 31.
It will arrive at the Gold Coast for the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on April 4.
About 3,800 batonbearers will carry the Queen’s Baton through every state and territory in Australia. All up it will have travelled for 388 days across the Commonwealth.
