The mercury is expected to nudge the 38 degrees mark and Racing NSW stewards have invoked Level 2 Racing in Hot Weather Policy to make sure all those in attendance stay safe.
The required arrival time for horses has been reduced to one hour prior to their respective race times, and will reduce parade times prior to each race, as well as ensure the provision of extra cooling systems, including hoses, ice buckets and the motorised cooling device.

The meeting will also see budding apprentice Ronald Simpson get another chance in the saddle.
Simpson made his debut at Dubbo Turf Club’s Melbourne Cup Day meeting, scoring a winner to boot, but hasn’t ridden since.
He will have three rides at Warren, all for Dubbo’s Justin Stanley, the trainer he is apprenticed to.
His best chance appears to be on Prattler but the youngster will have to overcome an extremely wide draw.
The seven-year-old will jump from out in barrier 16 in the Benchmark 50 Handicap (1200m).
We’ll Take Cash and Incision are Simpson’s other rides.
Racing starts 3.55pm.
