Candidates - more than 70,000 across the state - will receive their results via text message and email on Thursday.
Then on Friday more than 55,000 NSW HSC students will be able to access their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) from 9am.
The ATAR is the rank used by universities to select school leavers for entry into university courses.
Dubbo College Senior Campus captain Sharika-Marrie Howard said she was feeling confident she had done her best, but would probably grow more nervous as the release came closer.
She said she had received lots of helpful information about the process for Thursday and Friday.
Sharika-Marrie has had an unconditional offer from Charles Sturt University (CSU) Wagga to study oral health, on a pathway to her great interest, dentistry.
“I’m passionate about that field, ever since I had braces,” she said.
She has also received a conditional offer to the University of Sydney’s E12 scheme and has a place in the university’s Future Leaders Scheme.
Later this week with results in hand she will review all the options.
Before she heads to university Sharika-Marrie intends to have a gap year, where she will continue working at a local dental practice as well as remain an active member of the Dubbo City Youth Council.
Sharika-Marrie will have twin brother Reece to share the big day with, which she said helped.
“We look out for each other, we’ve always been close,” she said.
