Each year, the initiative aims to make a difference by supporting worthwhile community organisations and also passing on generous donations received from members and the general community.
The Dubbo branch was proud to support the Pink Angels and recently presented the group with a $500 donation.
“We’re thrilled to be able to continue to support the Dubbo Pink Angels this year and we hope this donation helps to spread some joy and hope this holiday season,” Westfund Dubbo acting regional manager Wendy Cruickshank said.
Dubbo Pink Angels provides care, help and support for breast cancer patients.
Westfund Dubbo encourages members and local community members to donate to the appeal.
“We invite and encourage our members and members of the local community to donate toys and non-perishable items to be passed on to the Dubbo Salvation Army in the week leading up to Christmas,” Mrs Cruickshank said.
“Christmas is a wonderful time of year for us all to reflect on the importance of being a part of a great community and ensuring that those less fortunate than ourselves are able to also experience the joy of the season.”
All toys and non-perishable food items can be brought to the Westfund Care Centre in Macquarie Street.
