The group celebrated and received applause for their efforts on Friday at a graduation ceremony at Dubbo.
The students, who come from across western NSW, have been studying for 18 months.
TAFE Western head teacher of nursing Elizabeth Shuttle said it was a great day.
“We had an ex-student, Robyn Harmon, come along as guest speaker talking about her career path to inspire the group,” she said.
“We’re very proud of all our graduands.”
With their Diploma in Nursing they would be able to go into hospital, community health, general practice and other settings, she said.
Maddie McCahon previously worked in office administration but decided to go into a whole new field and study the diploma after seeing paramedics, doctors and nurses attend a family member.
She said the TAFE Western staff had been a fantastic support.
“I hope to get a job as a nurse and work my way up,” she said.
