Daily Liberal photographer Belinda Soole was walking down memory lane on Tuesday when she came across this page of the Daily Liberal from January 1986
At the time the Macquarie Street building was owned by Macquarie County Council, who at the time had elected to sit tight on the building unless it received an acceptable offer.
The building was offered to Dubbo City Council for $1.25 million, which was the price range that was being looked at for a sale to occur.
Subsequently the building would go on to house the Daily Liberal, and in recent weeks has been demolished by its new owners Maas Group Family Properties.
Plans are in place to develop a retail and residential hub at the location.
