Cue applause for Dubbo RSL Snooker Club’s donation of $700 in art supplies to headspace Dubbo.

They will ensure services for youth people continue into next year.

Program manager at headspace Dubbo Rachel Thomas has welcomed the generous donation.

...with the donation from the Dubbo RSL Snooker Club, we will be able to provide these services again during 2018.

“headspace Dubbo has previously run therapeutic art groups for young people, and with the donation from the Dubbo RSL Snooker Club, we will be able to provide these services again during 2018,” she said.

The money used to pay for the art supplies was raised through a round-robin competition called Young Guns and Old Dodgers, and a raffle supported by Dubbo businesses.

Nic Steepe, access and awareness worker at headspace Dubbo, said: “We pride ourselves on having a strong visual presence and the donation of art supplies will allow us to achieve that.

“Similarly, our Youth Reference Group design the majority of their promotional materials and these art supplies will further assist them in their creative objectives.”
