For several months, rural crime investigators from the Darling River Local Area Command have been investigating the theft of 150 goats from a property about 20km west of Cobar in February this year.
It will be alleged by police that the goats were removed from a paddock over a number of days.
On Saturday, November 11, another landowner near Nyngan reported to police that nine goats had been taken from a paddock on the property.
Early on Friday, police arrested the 21-year-old man at Nyngan Police Station, and he was subsequently charged with two counts of steal stock and one count of malicious damage.
The man appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Saturday, where he was granted conditional bail until his next court appearance, which will be at Nyngan Local Court on Wednesday, November 29.
