Petbarn Dubbo has joined forces with Greencross Vets this month to provide pet owners with advice on early detection.

One in three Australian dogs and cats are affected by cancer in their lifetime.

Petbarn Dubbo manager Renay Armstrong said the month was the perfect reminder of the need to understand the key warning signs to keep an eye out for, and the importance of regular vet check-ups.

Warning signs include: chronic weight loss, persistent vomiting or diarrhea and non-healing wounds.
